Put the church calendar on your phone

You only do this once. After that your phone shows every service and event, and keeps itself up to date when anything changes.

Would you rather someone did it with you? Bring your phone on a Sunday and ask after the service. It takes a minute.

Which do you use?

iPhone or iPad

Add to my iPhone calendar

Tap the green button above.
Your iPhone asks “Subscribe to this calendar?”. Tap Subscribe.
Tap Done. Church events now appear in your Calendar app.

Android phone, or Google Calendar

Add to my Google Calendar

Stuck? Bring your phone on a Sunday and someone will set it up with you.

Tap the green button above. Google Calendar opens in your web browser.
If asked, sign in with the Google account your phone uses.
Tap Add. After a minute or two the church calendar shows in the Calendar app on your phone.

No Add button on your phone? Do this step on a computer instead, and it will still appear on your phone. Or copy the address under “Something else” below.

Google checks for changes about once a day, so for anything last-minute, look at this website.

Outlook or Hotmail

Add to Outlook

Tap the button and sign in to Outlook if asked.
Check the name says “Hope Church Gravesend”, then choose Import or Add.

Something else

Most calendar apps have an option called “Subscribe”, “Add calendar from URL” or “Add by URL”. Give it this address:

Just want one event?

Open the event on What’s on and use the buttons under Add this to my calendar. That adds a single date and won’t update if it changes.

Cancelled events

If something is cancelled, it stays in your calendar with CANCELLED in front of its name, so you know not to go.

Changed your mind?

On iPhone: Settings → Apps → Calendar → Calendar Accounts → Subscribed Calendars, then delete it. In Google Calendar: open Settings, choose the Hope Church calendar, then Unsubscribe.
